We are based in Harlingen, Texas in the beautiful Rio Grande Valley. Visit our downtown location at 102 E. Jackson St. We serve all Texas cities with Systems Development Services including hardware and software products as well as website design.
In Summer of 2006 we are initiating the Computer Repair Club service model. There will be no more computer service fees if when you call for service you buy hardware from us for that particular repair job. There is no annual membership fee, you just pay your first 3 months on signup, which comes to $45.
A WORD AS TO WHY WE ARE DOING THIS
In recent years computers have become necessities both at home and in the office. This has increased as the worldwide web, the internet, has spread across the globe and facilitated the flow of information. It has been estimated that across the country probably 1 in 3 households own computers, and in some areas it is 1 in 2. It seems almost everyone you know uses the internet or sends e-mail to people in different places, sometimes with replies within minutes. Computers are also handy for playing and recording music. Computers allow for children's games as well as some pretty serious work to be done on the same machine. Yet with all this comes the reality that computers are sensitive and often need service. Service rates can be high, and even hiring an in-house specialist can be cost effective if you are a company who can afford it. But what if you are the average person who has a computer problem you want solved without much of an expense. Well if you are a Computer Club Member you can rely on the fact that we can solve the problem and probably rescue your data in the process if so needed. The old way of doing it was to take the computer to a computer shop for service but rates can be high, from $45 to $85 per hour or even higher. As a result many offices and homes delay computer repair or go buy a new unit. You can relax and not worry about any such expenses when you are a Compuvue Computer Repair Club member. Your $15 per month covers all service fees except for hardware. Parts are extra. If you need replacement parts we obtain them for you, usually at below retail cost.
You may join the Computer Repair Club at any time, and once we repair your computer one time at regular rates we give you 3 months membership for FREE. If you live outside our service area we still give you a limited warranty on any computer hardware we install for you. If shipping is required we prefer UPS and we will return ship the same way. We do not warranty software the customer uses, but we guarantee data security during the time our personnel handle your systems. Shipping must be paid by customer only during the first year of membership. The Computer Repair Club is currently only available for the Rio Grande Valley area of South Texas, from Brownsville to Rio Grande City and as far north as Raymondville and Falfurrias.

Please note that this is a fee based membership program, it is not insurance nor a promotional offer. Your monthly fees are due in advance of - or at any time during - the calendar month of protection and the agreement is from month to month. There is no prorating because of the nature of service, and no contract is required. Protection ends at midnight of the last calendar day of the last month covered by your payment, and may be activated again at any time by paying 3 months in advance like at sign-up, even if your computer needs repair at the time. Non member residential service will be billed at $45 per hour, standard rate, and non member commercial clients are billed at $22.50 per hour for business computers. |
